The compilation of Stickney's History was begun in 2006 by Martin and Bev Gosling. It came about out of curiosity one evening whilst they were out walking in the village. Both Martin and Bev noticed that there were two properties within Stickney with the same name, Westview. This intrigued them, and further research found that there were in fact three properties with this name. The personal curiosity soon developed into a listing of the properties and their occupants over the years, and this was the focus of the initial research. This soon developed however, into a extensive history of all aspects of the village.

The library of information that Martin and Bev hold on Stickney, and its occupants, over the centuries is an ever increasing one and includes many different documents, including; photographs; letterheads; censuses; trade bills; church records; slides; maps; books; village magazines; and newspapers.

The success of the research has been down to the cooperation, interest, and support of the local villagers, and the many hours spent by Martin and Bev generating a collection of information that maps a small villages history.

The information and documents within this website are just a small selection of the available literature. If you have any questions, contacts details are available on the contacts page.
